I am in love with a man, and he loves me. We are in a long-distance relationship. Recently he told me he was looking at people whom he is not attracted to because he wants to feel praised as he would be when I am with him. I’ve tried to explain to him that this isn’t praise he’s now getting; rather he is sanctioning the idea that he deserves less than he really does. Have I made a mistake in my evaluation of this issue? What advice would you give him?

I’m falling in love with a man who has an incurable, fatal disease. He could be my soulmate. Should I abandon him and look for someone else, or take my chance of staying with someone who will start to deteriorate as early as 10 years from now?

If Objectivism wins over the culture, will it be irreversible? For instance, if Ayn Rand had written in the 18th century and Kant had been along in 1957 and written his Critique then, would his philosophy have had any effect?
